Code of conduct

  • This Code of Conduct sets out the values and behaviours expected of everyone involved in NomadAlba Collective, including staff, collaborators, board members, and partners. It supports the constitution and ensures we act consistently as a mission-led social enterprise.

We Put People and Purpose First

Everything we do supports our social mission.

We exist to create meaningful social and environmental impact. Financial sustainability matters, but it is always a tool to support our purpose—not the goal itself.

    When making decisions, we ask:

    • Does this benefit, respect and care for people and communities of life?

    • Does this align with our values?

    • Does this contribute to long-term, sustainable change?

We prioritise work that builds lasting value, even if it grows more slowly. Like natural systems, we believe strong growth happens over time, not through rapid extraction.

We Act with Honesty and Integrity

We are open, honest, and fair in all that we do.

    This means:

    • Communicating clearly and truthfully

    • Taking responsibility for our actions

    • Being transparent about decisions and finances

We build trust through consistency. We do what we say we will do, and we are accountable when we fall short.

We Create Inclusive and Respectful Spaces

Inclusion is central to our work.

We create environments where people feel safe, seen, heard, valued, and able to participate fully—especially those who have been excluded elsewhere.

    We:

    • Listen with openness and respect

    • Value different lived experiences and perspectives

    • Challenge discrimination and exclusion

    • Design for accessibility from the beginning

We understand that inclusion is ongoing work, and we stay committed to improving.

We Are Fair and Responsible Employers

We are committed to fairness in how we pay and support people.

    We:

    • Pay at least a living wage recognising it as a baseline for dignity—not a benefit

    • Aim for fair and balanced pay structures, avoiding excessive gaps between highest and lowest pay

    • Support wellbeing, including manageable workloads and healthy boundaries

    • Offer flexible and inclusive working practices

We believe economic fairness is a core part of social impact. How we pay people reflects what we value.

We Support Inner Development and Growth

We recognise that external change is linked to internal development.

    We support the growth of:

    • Self-awareness and reflection

    • Emotional intelligence and resilience

    • Curiosity, creativity, learning, and adaptability

    • Confidence and agency

We create space for people to develop not just skills, but ways of thinking and being that support long-term wellbeing and leadership.
